Our History
1995
David decides he wants to start a clothing label. In the prime of his youth, the main themes are clothing,
sport and fun.
1997
David raises the idea for the label with some friends, a lot of excitement but no action.
Nobbie starts hanging out with the gang. We name him Nobbie cos he is a Nob : )
1998
David does the first member design, it is a rip-off of the Subway logo.
David trys to buy the domain name MEMBER.COM off the company that owns it. The domain is not used to host a
site. They are not intersted.
1999
David develops the first Member t-shirt with the help of Ryuji. It says "Smile at me". People love it and
orders are taken, which is good. No shirts actually produced, which is bad.
2001
February
Nobbie creates the "Team Member" t-shirt with photos of all the original gang. It is quickly canned and never spoken of again until now.
2002
August
David starts thinking about building the member website. Does some inital drawings and stuff.
David contacts the guy responsible for the domain name MEMBER.COM (again). They are still not intersted in
selling the domain name as it is still used for email - the cunts.
October
David develops a site map and also designs some page layouts for the site. Starts building the beast.
Nobbie officially wants in.
Member Pty Ltd is formed.
Nobbie having second thoughts.
Nobbie not having second thoughts (same day).
November
Dave and Nobbie sit down with Ryuji (Daves designer mate) and come up with some tops.
December
Friday 20th Decemner - Dave and Nobbie buy 40 shirts to get heat pressed. Marks the beginning of
Member clothing. What a fucken day, after coming up with a design, we are talked out of it and end up getting
another design printed. At least it has begun.
2003
Janurary
Tour to Queensland.
June
Sack the skate team cos they all decided to quit anyways... George, we still love you.
July
Member Team terrorises NZ.
August
Development on Winter gear begins.
September
Fucked around and didn't really achieve much.
October
Finally in stores.
Second run of t-shirts produced.
Website finished - about time.
